Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium fund is available for students in receipt of free school meals, Ever 6, looked-after children and children adopted from care, and to those from Service families to support the targets we set for every child.
If you think your child could qualify for Pupil Premium funding, please contact the Finance team at finance@sta.cc for a confidential conversation.
At St Augustine’s we provide bespoke planning and individual attention to students, in additional to a culture of high expectation and aspiration, enabling students to receive the support they need to achieve. Our key priority with the Pupil Premium fund is to ensure all students in danger of underachieving are properly supported to narrow the disadvantage gap by addressing inequalities, and raising the attainment of students in low income families and providing pastoral support. The government has entrusted schools to decide how the fund is spent, therefore, we assess what additional provisions should be made for individual students and allocate funds accordingly. The St Augustine’s Intervention Team will contact parents to share plans for their child.
If your child receives free school meals and you wish to purchase books or educational equipment, you can speak to the Finance Office at finance@sta.cc so they can allocate funds. This fund can also be allocated towards curriculum trips which are educationally and developmentally beneficial; it may also include: academic or pastoral mentoring, 1:1 English or Maths tuition, additional small group learning, counselling, or extra curricular provision.
It is our ultimate aim to enable all students to access every opportunity available, to make the most progress and be happy in their learning.
